Of course Im following the fellow 90 galloner. Im still working on my 90 but getting there.

I understand the big boss budget situation. Ive spent way too much last month that I dont wanna even thinking about talking about it with the wife. I just tried to save a few bucks, ended up with unusable return pump off eBay. So I was forced to buy brand new pump, but its kind of ridiculous to spend $15 for shipping so I add the misc stuff to meet the free shipping minimum amount. Why dont they understand this logic?

Im glad to hear that the inhabitants are doing great over all. Dont know much about starfish, I should let others help you.

If you have a chance, post pics!

Well, I am hoping to purchase a frag pack here pretty soon, probably 10-15 SPS mostly. Maybe pics then... ;)

Today is going to end as a sad day, I think.

Our beloved Molly, the orange molly in my fw fluval, is currently laying on the bottom of the substrate, breathing somewhat slowly. She can't stay upright, and kind of just lays on her side, motionless. If we approach the tank she'll flutter up and swim for about 10 seconds like normal, and then slowly sink again. Noticed the symptoms last night, and did a 30% wc. My thoughts are either fin rot (but not seeing anything on her fins) or a bladder infection. I faithfully perform 40-50% weekly waterchanges, and she's been great for almost a year.

I hope she pulls through, she's our first fish, my wife's favorite, and the showfish of the tank... just dont have much hope for her though...

    Thanks.

Since you have a FW tank, any suggestions? I'm going to pick up some melafix or something similar on my way home as a last resort...

That or pimafix, can't remember which does what. If it is the swim bladder then it is very difficult to treat. Best of luck.

Today is my birthday, and so I celebrated by visiting the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach with my fam and taking a few pics of the tank. Reduced the ISO settings as suggested by other forum members (thank you!) and I believe images are showing truer color. Also, before/after pics of carbon dosing/algaefix dosing, after almost 2 months.

Also, Molly is still alive, but still not looking very well. Today is the second dose of Melafix, which smells likes Vicks vapor rub...

Happy birthday, beautiful adds and great shots.

I don't think pimafix smells any better.

Well, today is the day Molly passed. Woke up this morning and she was no longer breathing. We gave her a proper send-off...
