Sorry to hear about the firefish. Glad the frags are all doing well. That orange encrusting can be finicky with too much light. If your ever over towards my way again, I can frag you off a new piece of that orange encrusting.

Thanks Travis! The orange encrusting is starting to recoup, I give it a month or two and it'll be fine. I'm also tempted to move it down a little...

If you're fragging anything else anytime soon, you know who to text... ;D

I'm lurking around all these threads as I get time....I know it is semi taboo to "plug" a supplier but can you educate me on purchasing frags...I'm starting to get the feeling a lot of hobbyist-to-hobbyist exchanges goes on...

Whats a good price for 8-12 asst frags ? (a nice mix of LPS & sps) ...

I can't really "plug" a supplier, because I haven't really ordered from one yet (although, that might change in a few weeks ;)).

I'm very wary of adding frags to my tank from an unknown system. So far, all my SPS has come from other hobbist tanks, and my LPS/softies have come from mix of hobby tanks and a LFS. I've seen the hobbist's tanks in person, and know there are no pests to contend with. I still dip, but it give me a peace of mind. And the frags I did get from a LFS, I looked around the frag like a hawk for anything suspect.

Travis45 lives nearby (somewhat), and was kind enough to sell me a "frag pack" on the cheap, primarily because he was looking to trim a bunch of his SPS that seems to grow like a weed in his amazing tank.

It depends on what type, size, and the rarity of the corals you are looking for. 8-12 mixed SPS/LPS frags can run you anywhere from $150-400 and up from there, plus shipping.

Everything has started to open up and looking well. List of frags:

    2x ricordea
    2x acan lords
    1x chalice
    2x zoas
    1x hammer
    1x frogspawn
    1x bubble
    2x acros
    2x millis
    1x monti

I'm currently at work and will be flying all night, but I'll have time tomorrow to post pics of everything.

    Thanks!
Might take a while, they're all sitting on the bottom right now acclimating to the light. I plan on building a frag rack tomorrow.

Sure will! Need to remind myself to keep my hands in the tank to a minimum.

Hey, I have a 90 to fill, and anyways, isn't that the point? ;)
