    my pitbull mix named slugger was put down today. all this damn mosquito and one of them game him heart worms. today and yesterday he couldnt walk but today he was on is last legs. we had him put down. it was horrible. but you could tell he was in really bad pain. you have a dog for 15 years and this is how he went. but at lest is he in peace. rip slugger.

    I'm so sorry. It is so hard to lose a beloved pet. He had a wonderful life with you and you made him so happy!! I'm sorry.

    thanks hope you get better. my 2 year old dog hasnt stop crying since i got back. i have a filling she knows hes not coming back.

    i am sorry for your loss, i lost a dog to hart worms several years back its so sad for it to end that way.

    Yeah, its the hardest part of owning dogs. For me, not so with other "pets". Dogs are mostly better than most humans (sorry...my opinion). But for as long as I've had dogs, & as long as I'm breathing, I'll continue having them as part of the family. You're young. Take your time, then go out and get another one.

    15 years is a good long life. That would make him 105 in dog years.
