not yet. my wife is going to pick it up this weekend. I am in no rush because I have the lfs hold the fish for a week or two after shipping so I can see if it is sick before spending $

Sorry about your goby...We had one of our favorite fish, a flame hawk, that was one of the first in our display tank. He jumped into the overflow a few times, but the last time right onto the carpet...

I also have a pair of skunk clowns in a 24 nano, whenever I would top off the tank, the water line was at the very top of the overflow..We have a spotted hawk in that tank as well, although he was not rough he did chase them from time to time and one would jump into the overflow. This last time he landed on the bio-sponge, good thing I checked the tank that day, he probably had just jumped. The skunks are now in a tank of their own....

I even put in food hoping it would come out. I still can not find it? any help would be great.

Man sorry to hear that--My Diamond is my fav too...See my avater!!! I have heard about this alot, but I guess I have been lucky...I just have a canopy, no lid. I have never even seen him anywhere near the surface or dart towards it. Once again maybe just lucky. Sorry again for your loss.

It is times like these I am glad I have glass lids. Only thing I have to worry about is them jumping into the over flow, which would require me taking the canopy off. I suppose if a fish were really unlucky and small enough he could jump into the down pipe but that would be a one in a billion shot.

You know I was reading this post earlier and thinking I might need some mesh to go over the eggcrate lids I have to ensure my Yellow watchman goby doesn't jump.
Well, to late. I came back from the LFS gettin some supplies, and went to feed, and I didn't see him. Well, I found him behind the tank on the floor. He was fine about 5 hours ago. So sad. RIP dude. So, I really feel your pain. It sucks.
    How ironic eh?

Oh my this thread has come back to life only to haunt people. Sorry for everyones loss in the last few days. To everyone out there if you do not us lids to keep the CO2 in check here is the way I solved the problem.

    1. buy egg crate and cut it to fit your opening.

    2. Buy a fabric called (TOOL) that is not how it is spelled but that is how it sounds.

    3. Attach the fabric to the egg crate and you are done.

Just a word of advise if you only cover one side of the egg crate but the fabric side down. I lost a second goby a month ago due to him wedging himself between egg crate and fabric. I had the fabric side up.

Some times they will hide in the rock work for a few days if they are new. What are you feeding it?
