so after 5 months my ray mysteriously died, it was very sudden, she fed last night and was acting normal and then the next morning she was swimming funny, and a few hours later had died. ive tested for everything i possibly could and all seems ok, all the other inhabitants are doing amzing, so the only conclusion i could come up with is that the piece of shrimp was contaminated. i stand by the decision i made at the start and i wont try another ray. they are to beautiful to be that disposable. so now im lost as to what to stock my tank with. currently in a 150g i have a yellow tang, a blue tang, 3 clowns and YT damsel so any suggestions? something out of the ordinary would be great

I used to have CA round stingrays as well. My first one lasted 5 years before it fell to my "contractor paint destruction" incident. I can understand your loss. I'm sorry. :(
I would strongly suggest testing for copper in your tank. Rays are EXTREMELY sensitive to copper, even trace levels can kill a ray. Rays are very delicate animals and are generally reserved for very mature tanks and advanced level aquarists. Not saying those aren't the cases here, just throwing that out there.
