LOL... the whale would be cute... but it may try to eat your other fish... mmmm snack :D Probably not a good idea... better left to Sea World :)

Why not look at a wrasse or butterfly fish... or maybe even a Cortez Angel since you state it is a FOWLR....

Keep us posted as to what you choose :)

i had a moon wrasse but i got rid of it like 2 weeks ago because it was chewing on my rays fins, so in the end traded it for nothing haha. umm i did look at an angel but i do have coralimorphs so thought that it might eat those

That is true... I was just doing more research as well and found that larger angelfish may eat them... hmmm... guess I am out of ideas. But good luck in finding one and sorry about the Ray. They are fun to watch

=( That is unfortunate, I always liked watching rays at the aquarium, must have been amazing to have one at home. April seems like a bad month for fish, one of my clowns got sucked up a pump and I had a emerald crab die out of the blue. Sorry for your loss.

Everything I have heard on Ribbon Eels is that they're extremely hard to care for, almost always die in captivity, and are probably best kept on the wild reef.

Dragon eels are cooler looking and somewhat easier to care for.

Zebra or Chainlink Morays are really cool, and they both do very well in aquariums.

I also second the Octopus idea, or some cuttlefish.

A worty frogfish would be cool as well....

Puffers are sweet as well. They're super smart, and many of them will let you (even beg for you to) pet them. They can be trained to do simple tricks like push a ball around, or swim through a hoop, or do barrel rolls, etc. The LFS here has a pet puffer they taught to roll over.

Anyways... I still think a baby whale would be cool, maybe a polar bear or a pair of seals.... marine mammals are where's gonna be in a few years.
