Sad :(

I'm so sad.

One of my favorite fish died last night. Zoom/Survivor. She was a tiny red tail flasher wrasse. She was part of a harem, where the other two died during transit because FedEx delayed the packaged by a day. She was barely alive when I stuck her in the tank and then she disappeared. I thought for sure she was dead. 4 weeks later I caught a glimpse of pink in the rocks. After a couple days she was out swimming all over like nothing had ever happened. I couldn't believe she was still alive.

She was so cute. Just this little thing zipping all over the place. Really healthy. Loved to eat.

I have no idea how she did this, but when I went to feed last night she was dried up on top of the tank lid. We cannot figure out how she got up there. The lid fits snug. The only open place is if she got into the overflow and jumped from there, but I don't see her fitting through the slits to get into the overflow....

I normally wouldn't make a post about a fish death, but this one has got me really bummed. I miss her already!

im sorry for your loss, i lost my first clown some time back and i still dont understand how, so i can relate cuz she was paired up but merely 1"

wow, im really sorry to hear this kacy. its always sad when this happens.

 

I think what's really bothering me is I was in the living room with the tank all night...If I had just noticed her up there I could have saved her. Instead she suffered

 

Very sorry to hear of your loss.seemed you had a special bond with zoom after the tramatic shipping..and we all know you would have saved her if you had known she was up there..
