I've done some reading on the wrasse/shrimp scenario because I have a sixline sitting in QT and I HAD a cleaner shrimp. I've read that ir really depends on the wrasse. It could attack your shrimp, or maybe it will leave them alone. Some say it is best to have a shrimp larger than the wrasse. Some say that the wrasse and shrimp will be OK, but to start worrying as the wrasse gets bigger. What I am going to do is put what shrimp I want in our refugium and not worry about it!

It may or it may not eat them we have a 6 line with several different type of shrimps and no problem. But I have had and have seen 6 lines eat clams corals shrimps .. But there are those who will say they are totally reef safe.. Take a shout just keep them well fed. I'd bet you'd be fine But I won't give odds on it.

Hey RHorton, according to " the book " and I qoute, "reef aquarium compatibility; excellent. will aid in controlling pyramidellid snails and commensal flatworms. Larger specimans(sixline wrasse) may eat ornamental shrimps. " unquote. Its all up to you, I dont know about you, but my lfs sells the shrimp for $2.99. If you take a chance, thier not expensive. I hope this helps any.

Thanks everybody for the responses, one of the shrimp is about the size of the wrasse so I'll probably try him and I guess I'll have to see what happens.

I wish my lfs sold them that cheap, they cost 14.99 a piece at my lfs.
