Anybody know anything about this sand. The ad says safe for aquariums......any thoughts?

You can always call the manufacturer and ask about calcium content of the sand.

 

Holy crap for a Dollar a Pound it better be safe. I can get Old Castle Stone sand for like 7.99 for 50 lbs. I don't know what kind of avalibility there is in your area but I would look into it. I was able to find it by talking to some people on a local reef forum to find it. If you have a fish club in the area you may be able to ask them.

JMO, and I'm not aware of your local economy it just seems high to me.

 

Unfortunately I have had no luck finding a good deal around here(Omaha). Everybody seems to carry quikrete sand. And of course the lfs are expensive for this kind of thing. I am always keeping my eyes open.....Thanks.
