Why not just get a power inverter installed on your car or truck and then take a extension cord , that will supply a main pump or the whole tank depending on how large of an inverter that you buy A 100.00 buys a 4500 watt one they just take 12 V battery power from a car and convert it to 120 A/C ,, Battery gets low start car.. :) A battery powered air pump is pure junk and a ploy to separate people who don't no from their money. Those air pump wont move much air before the heat up and die :) Look into a power inverter

Well after 2 hurricanes then 5 tornado's with in a 2 week period and loss of power in my House in Va . I installed a auto change over Nat Gas whole house generator system.. I lost some very rare and never to be found again Corals I lost a Purple monster Acropora that I got from a guy in Ca in the early 90's.. Plus several more huge heads just as rare and hard to find if they could be replaced ? I used up all my Gasoline and every station was closed for 100 miles either way..

But I fortunately had given a close friend plugs from my corals :) although I had made the original owner that I'd never let it out to the public , I didn't he was/ is a private friend :) Thank God I did he gave me some back and I brought a section up here 2 yrs ago and its looking good..

But Make sure you keep gas on hand :) I learned my lesson :) I had several Generators around the shop but no gas ):

    Ouch!

Do keep 3 five gal gas cans on hand at all times...can siphon out of one of 3 motor vehicles if needed. (which I always fill up prior to storm warnings) - we always lose power couple of days a year in winter. - did have out for 5 days once. --- you are right about not getting gas during power outage. Those filling stations need power to pump also.

Move to Las Vegas like everyone else.. I've been hear for 20yrs, and I've never seen a natural disaster. Other then the heat in the summer, the weather is good.. Blackouts? About once every 3 months for about 1 min. Just enough to start thinking about you tank, and then it turns back on..

Been in CA for nearly 40 years and have only felt the earth move once (the actually earth, itself, that is)! As for blackouts -- haven't had one of those where I live since before 2001.

Haven't been to Vegas in a long time. My six year old wants to go there - why, I don't know. Maybe he thinks he'll see Holly, Bridget and Kendra there! LOL It is pretty hot, but LOTS OF GOLF!!!
