Hey all I just bought this fish from someone else that took there tank down and put him into my tank, I have had him for about 3 days now and he seems to be loosing his color or changing from his dark colors to pale looking. What can be doing this and how can I fix him

Usually Color loss is due to stress or a nutrition issue in tangs.

Feed them Nori (Dried seaweed)... with vitamins made for marine fish. Vitamin C is a good one to have soaked the food in. I would do this at least every other day for a while. and then you can skip to just twice a week once the fish gains some girth and color back. If the tank is mature or old enough with algae for the tang to keep in check, then they wont need as much Nori.

If you have issues try adding a garlic extract made for fish to the food. Usually helps attract them to the food. :)

Good luck with your new fish!
