im still thinking im gonna add another one after i get it set up and cycled.. its not gonna have livestock until at least the middle of june..and no fish until at least the end of june

the 20k bulbs are 250w
the 10k bulbs are 400w

 

It sounds like you got a lot figured out since I left yesterday, i dont know about the skimmer, dont have any good advise on that one. i think the idea of 2 mh until the tank is cycled is a great idea then add a 3rd when its done.
Glad to see you got the stand and the rock. i think everyone appreciates that your going to wait till the mid to end of june to add any livestock, at least i think its great. Go Slow! thats awesome, stoked for you bro. i want to go bigger so bad! I'm just going to live my 150 dreams vicariously through you. if you dont mind. lol

Any particular reason you feel you need to have the MH while you are cycling? If I read correctly looks like you are not stocking anything for a while. The MH during the cycle will only make a mess IMHO. It will promote algae growth and cyano growth. Unless you something in there that NEEDS the light - I would hold off on it until you are fully cycled - this way you can take your time in getting your lighting together!

 

the only reason im even thinking about the lighting is because my friend im getting them from is going out of town across country for a few months.. he just graduated as well and is going to travel across country till he has to start the real world... and since i dont need the lighting i wasnt gonna buy another extra until i would be stocking it..
