salinity for lta

    i just got an lta and the tips are curling just a little bit is this normal my salinity is 1.022 all other parameters spot on lighting is a 4 bulb t5 this is a 75 gal tank about a year old

    natural sea water is 1.026 i think, at least for the most part

    i have an lta and keep it at 1.026

    a coral tank should have a salinity of 1.024-1.026

    1.022 is great for a fish only tank. It's definitely low to keep anemone's and other inverts.

    +1 with the above..My inverts are more active when my salinity is around 1.024 or 25..

    When you do a water change next, make the water a little higher like at 1.027 or so..It should help the salinity go up.

    I agree you have to have 1.024-1.026

    You will have to raise it slowly

    and back to the curling tips..my nems tips curl, the tentacles look like an S..i think thats pretty normal..you have enough lighting..i have mine under a 250 halide..i havent my lta very long so im still learning more about them..ive had btas and condys..

    but yeah get that salinity up to normal and it should look even better..
