    Thanks blackraven! So every once in a while when I see the salinity drop just mix up some saltwater and add it as top off?

    skimming wet and your ATO are why your salinity is low. You are trading the sw skimmate with FW. Another problem you can have is if you mix your salt and the water is colder than what your tank is normally, you need to compensate because sg is effected by temp. This is where a lot of people slowly have problems, because they don't mix their salt to temp of their tank. Myself included.
