    Boy, 2 oz of MgSO4 raising the SG that much DOES seem excessive! Actually now that I go back and look at the specs alittle better .03 increase in a 29 doesn't really seem that far off, alittle but I thought for what ever reason you had a 55....
    You are still using RC correct?
    Try this next time. When you mix up a bucket of new water add the epsom to the bucket AFTER you thoroughly mix the salt in. Then test the SG and make sure its up to par. This will not only be alittle easier on the system but you also, and you are more likely able to monitor the SG.
    When I mix NSW, I add my Ca and Mg to the buckets right away so when I do the change its more stable otherwise I would have a slight dip then an upward swing when I add the Ca and Mg.
