    I just got my tank set up. What Salinity would you recommend for the cycling and later? I found different numbers everywhere.

    Are you going with a reef tank? If so, you want 35 ppt for the most part unless you are trying to replicate the Red Sea as opposed to other reefs. (The Red Sea is higher). This would be 1.025 on most swing arm hydrometers and 1.026 on most refractometers.

    If you are going with Fish Only With Live Rock, you might go a little lower on specific gravity. Fish can adapt to different specific gravities much easier than corals.

    well, i wanna go reef later, but that's a long time away. So first I will have fish only with live rock and first cycling of course

    I usually recommend 1.024 to 1.025
