My girlfriend loves crabs.. we have an emerald which is her favorite thing in the tank. Now that we got the bigger tank he is quite small though.
Sally's seem to get much bigger. Just wondering pros and cons of a sally lightfoot? I have a 125G mixed reef.. will have basic softies etc..

I hear a lot about sallys eating other members of the CUC and sometimes fish.

I have had them before, in a reef tank biotope with no insurmountable damage being noticed.
I recently added a couple more in to my tank with a Pistol Shrimp, Sea Hare and Strawberry Crabs! I love the personality, diversity and presence they add to my tank. Moreover, I have not witnessed any willingness for them to eat corals or other living animals in my tank.

I have 2 and and they are constantly feeding off the rock, sand and glass. I noticed twice already that my biggest one (around 3.5" now) somehow got on top of my powerhead which is near the top of the tank and about 7" away from rock or overflow, just hanging out there like he was scared to death but I haven't figured out yet how he got up there. They don't bother anyone but will not give up on any food they go after and while cleaning around my zoas would have they're legs all over them causing a little damage to them other than that I haven't had any probs out of them and are fun to watch.

Geoof, sallys can actually climb on anything. Even glass walls and acrylic(sp) I work at my LFS and i see them sometimes crawling up. I also heard they can eat corals? Anyone had this problem before?
