    I found one of my sally's dead when i got home from work. It was sitting next to the helifungia. I checked all my water params straight away.
    PH was a little low 8.15
    free am=0
    total amm=0.75
    nitrates and nitrites=0
    calcium ~550
    alk=6
    temp =78
    i have some green shroom nearby too, surely they are not a problem

    Sure it's the crab and not a molt? Is the tank grounded? How many of these crabs do you have in the tank?

    I agree with Amcarrig. Maybe it was just a molt :)

    She's back with that darn kitty again............. lol ;D

    +3 check to see if it's a molt.
    Sometimes crabs will duke it out for crab territory.

    I agree with above...It may be a molt as shrimp and crabs do it frequently and an addition of iodine will help them to molt!

    its no molt. I figured it was just a molt, but after a day of it not moving in the current i fished it out. It was the whole crab.
