I have dark red " something" growing on my coral. Once a week I do a partial water change &, with a soft brush get most of the red off. By the next week it is back, sometimes worse. I have tested the water. Everthing is fine.

What is this "red stuff?" Is it dangerous ? How do I get rid of it ?

sounds like cyno bacteria to me Salty fresh it can choke corals , depriving them of light and nutrients

check the sticky on the algae forum for positive ID ( Ultimate nuisance algae thread) or if you can post a picture and that will help get a positive ID for you

cyno if thats what it is can be beaten by increased water flow, as it prefers still areas of the tank coupled with reduction on nutrients - your test kits may say everything is OK but the cyno is using them up as quickly as they are generated so nothing appears on your test

That's what I thought initially too. You are going to need to get your parameters in order, cut back on feedings, increase flow, decrease lighting. (If that's the case).
