so i have a rodi system that i can't set up for my 16g tank b/c of when i move i can't take it with me.

but i found petco a local pet store has saltwater in a box. has anyone used this before.

My reason in doing this is because i do not want to go out 32miles to go get RO water, and i here sea water is really good for your tank anyway.

If you have used it before can you tell me where you got it from.

    thanks for reading.

Is the tank set up? If not, I'd wait till after you move

If it is already, I'd just get RO water from Walmart, or RODI from an LFS until then, prob tons cheaper

And why can't you set the RODI up for a year?

My RODI hangs on the wall and attaches to the backyard tap :). I can take it down and move it whenever I like.

You can drink R/O as well. It saves money over time.

give him $5 a month and call it a deal, it won'e waste that much;) much cheaper than your option!
a gallon of water costs a homeowner about a penny if not less. so if you do a 25% WC a week which is overkill, thats
4 gallons a week, or 16 gallons of waste water, or 4+16=20g/week X 4 weeks =80 gallons of water a month or $.80, so give him a dollar;)

and you can save the waste water for plants I believe;)

You got a washing machine? Put a hose Y on the cold water and dump the waste into the washing machine. Carbon filtered better than tap.
