    Thanks for the info everyone I think I will give the seawater a chance I can always slowly move over to ro if I wanted to but I think I want to give the sea water a chance

    I think a point was missed here, you will still need some sort of freshwater for top offs. topping off with sea water will spike your salinity so just a thought but you will need both imo

    How much would you pay for RO/DI where you are?

    I don't have a LFS that sells it. Buying bottled is $2.49/gal, which is still a lot cheaper than drinking water at $1.79/20 oz (higher than soda or tea!!). Definitely makes that real ocean water a bargain around here. :)

    as compared to RODI from a RODI unit?

    No, that's cheating. lol

    The OP doesn't have that option. How much does bottled RO/DI cost there? Is the LFS a lot cheaper?

    LOL, IDK because i have a RODI, because its cheaper and easier.;)
