    A friend asked me this last night and I didn't know so I'm asking you guys.He has a 180 gallon freshwater tank he wants to remove the fish and add marine salt to setup will it crash and recycle or are the bacteria the same.

    nope they are different dut when the fresh water bacteria dies it will help that the new cycle for the marine bacteria :)
