    i have a batch of saltwater that has been sitting for 3 weeks. it has had a heater and powerhead consistantly mixing. it should be good still right? does saltwater go bad?

    As long as it has been moving, it should be fine. I would test the params first though.

    I leave my WC water sit for week w/ a PH, airstone and heater with no problems.

    tested the ph this morning ands its a little low....its been mixing for like 2 maybe 3 weeks....can i still use?....any ways to raise ph in the saltmix?..i added buffer to saltmix once and it clouded up?....would it work if the ph was lower than normal?

    ..."low" means...?

    I would test alk and calcium; if anything precipitated out of the solution, it would be them, and it would explain low pH.

    alk is about 8 to 9 dkh and cal reading was high...like 450 to 500

    I store my saltwater for months. If they aren't contaminated, they are perfectly fine, to use as long as you measure the salinity and top off for evap.

    I don't have my mixing when it's stored... I bring it out, check salinity, and drop an airline in it over night after giving it a good stir.
