    Yep, I learned that 16 months ago when I couldn't get my SPS to color up. Concluded I needed more fish/DOCs in the water. Adding more fish worked.

    As to the alge, my phosphates were running around 0.8 ppm until I added the Chinese light. Now I'll have to find the balance to feeding/algae growth again.

    Calcium 400
    Mag 1200
    KH/Alk 7.7/2.73

    So looks like I need to get mag up some. Any recommendations for mg supplement brands would be appreciated.
