Hi been doing fresh water tanks for years but always wished they were saltwater tanks. I found a aquapod for 60.00 with live sand and some live rock so I picked it up So here I am.

    welcome to 3reef.

you will find you still enjoy fresh tanks, after being in a reef for a while. at first every thing is new and exciting but then it just becomes a different kind of tank, theres no better way to put it, as its impossible to really compare the two. i love the challenge of the reef tank, the inverts, the coral propagation, and fish personalities.
but with fresh i find fish personalities i like also, and the lush greenery of planted tank, also since i started fresh again ive found a whole new wave of shrimp that werent present when i left.

reef tanks have a clean unsoiled beauty about them, while fresh can have the relaxing feeling of a tranquil oasis.

maybe its just the knowledge and passion i gained during reefing, that has let me see that the ceiling in fresh water tanks only existed in my mind.

anyway i went on a tangent. happy reefing research is the key
