My first tank was rushed because it was used set up and live stock was still there and wasn't suppose to be. I broke down the correct way kept everything wet and still had huge ammonia spike and fish had gotten messed up. My 125 new build was really slow I used all new rock and sand. Added the Tim's and ammonia to feed it, left it running w just water, rock and sand for a month all while testing. Added one fish a week from current tank. That allowed for the bacteria to catch up w the added bio load.

I Do not know this product but i have found that short cuts in this hobby are recipes for disaster.

Take your time enjoy the process it will teach you a lot. I find that practice will be your biggest benefit. This is a long term hobby - take your time and enjoy.

To further add to my first question, I'm planning to buy DrTim One and Only Bacteria after hearing good reviews for it. I will be doing the fishless cycle with live rock (25lb) in my 20 gallon. Will the live rock be enough ammonia for the bacteria to live off or should i buy DrTim's pure ammonia?

If you buy from Dr Tims website, ask for the ammonia and he throws that in. If you buy it somewhere else, try and buy the ammonia also. It's cheap, just a few bucks more.
