The goby that refuses to leave his tiki head.....tried taking it out sometime last year and he almost died. He will not leave this thing. AND he's always upside down...always. lol bizarre little guy, i love how hot pink he is one of my favorite things in the tank by far.

One of the nicest Fluval Edge I have ever seen. Like what you did with the lighting.

Thanks everyone! :) I'll take better pics in the morning , or atleast try the led lighting gives the camera a hard time lol

Just some stats, its been running close to 2 yrs now, theres an assortment of sps, lps, and mostly zoas. Bioload consists of a very large CUC , 1 trimma goby and 1 pom pom crab. I've been taking it very slow. I'll also have to post some progression shots, I'm pretty happy with the way it looks now, might possibly add more sps soon, I've had great growth on the 3 sps frags in there and am gaining confidence in that area. I was alittle worried considering i dont have a skimmer on the edge, just the stock filter. But so far its grown shockingly well and have had great polyp extension, probably because i dont really have fish in there (the goby is insanely small and has stayed small have had for over a year atleast now) not sure i'd recommend keeping sps in an edge if you have legit fish in there, but that's just me being paranoid about coral dying on me. Anywho :) would love to hear from other fluval edge owners on how their doing keeping sps, partly because i'm a worrier so although things are going well....i'm always concerned lol and partly just out of curiosity with what others are doing in their tanks.

high praise! thank you! i think i'm alittle undeserving :p

Funny thing about the light, i had it in a really nice architect fixture, and was burning the corals so bad, the nuclear green palys were like yellow and had white spots for awhile, and the tip of the frogspawn was just plain clear instead of purple for a while and the head that was shaded was purple it was nuts, so i had to compromise looks and literally hang it from the ceiling and have slowly been dropping it down closer and closer but everytime i reach the lvl where the fixture would be fine at...the corals freak lol so for now i'm about 4 weeks(ish?) into the lighting acclimation, they have definately gotten used to the light being closer then initially (basically at the ceiling believe it or not) to being i'd say....24-30(ish) inch's away from the surface of the tank. Not as pretty as i would have preferred but it works so i'm not too upset 8)

Tank looks great, I wouldn't be surprised if you can't lower the the fixture much more. Those bulbs are supposed to penetrate up to 48" deep.

Very nice. I have been brain storming a edge tank for some time now. The only thing that I get stumped on is I would like to keep the top on it, so I am trying to figure out how to get maybe a couple cree led's in it for some basic corals.
