samll white slugy things

    hi there, ill say hello a bit later on here as i have a quick question jusyt incase it gets out of hand!!

    i have had my setup for a while now, but just seen two small white slug things on my rocks, are these bad or leave em in or cry and destroy the tank

    hi yes sorry, just in a panic, it is a tiny white slug, to say the least, it is about 1/4inch long and has the two long eyes at the front, i assume as i have seen two i will have more
    this is all white and really just looks like a slug,
    i just dont want it to devistate my tank,

    It could be a harmless Berghia or a Stomatella varia snail. I'm going to take a stab in the dark and guess the latter.

    Just so you know, lots of people actually pay money for these. This hobby should be enjoyed. Calm down and get to learn some of the weird things we get as hitchhikers. Many are quite interesting.

    thankyou so much for yourhelp, i love this hobby and is an amazing piece of life, I just had from my parents a loads of soft coral, and i just didnt want to go away and come back witha tank covered in these things, when i could have dont something to stop them. On the other hand, I believe that everything in a setup is there for a reason and should be left if It does no harm, thats why i asked before taking this creature out,
    once again many thanks for your help, and i hope to become an established member on here one day

    I have something like that growing on my rocks too. They dont move, I was under the impression they were a form of sponge.
