How much sand should I use for my 10 gal. tank?

 

You will want a depth of three to four inches. This link will help you calculatehow many pounds. You want a fine aragonite or oolitic sand.

That is a great calculator. Make sure you realize the different limitations with varying sand bed depths. Also, different types of sand will have different properties as far as types of fish that will do well, types of cleaners that will do well and also type of filtration they can provide.

also take into account rock that ur gona add...since rock takes up space ull need less sand...when i calculated it it said i needed 120 lbs my tank has 80 and its fine because of the rock 3-4 in
