Sand and gravel

    ok so Im getting a 30 gallon tank, with a pistol shrimp, pinkbar goby, and some other fish. I have 10 pounds of fine grain aragonite sand...how much more sand do I need? an can I do sand and a layer of gravel on top?

    No gravel, I would get about 50lbs more dry sand from here Sand and then mix in a handful or two of established sand which you can get from the LFS or a friend's tank
