And also now to my main question... do clowns prefer sand beds.. dsb or crushed coral or a mixture? ( I have almost 40lbs mixture of cc and ls right now... so.. thats why I ask my bed currently is almost 2" deep) Thanks agan- Brandon

Sand. Just keep the clowns in a regular reef/fish only tank. Move the eggs out to a specifically set-up breeder tank after they are laid.

Most people that raise clowns have an elaborate setup of hatching tanks, rearing tanks and grow out tanks. Most are bare tanks with flowerpots in them. Even most breeder tanks are just bare bottom with an upside down or sideways flower pot in them.
Be ready to start raising rotifers and baby brine!!! And quitting your job to feed the babies every couple of hours!

    Good luck!
