sand bed depth

    If you are going to run a wet/dry filter, I would suggest the dsb in the sump/fuge for nitrate conversion as that will not be possible with the wet/dry. The rock can convert some, but likely, not all. :)

    so basicly i have no choice other than to increase my sand bed !!!! i also have a 20 gal enclosed area where the water drops into 2 collection bags; totally seperate from the bio ball area would that area be suitable for a dbs/fuge. thanks so muc for the help :confused:

    I have an asm g3 it woorks well but some people have had microbubble problems
    another good skimmer is the turbofloter I dont recommend the prisims some people on this sight use remora, there is a whole section on skimmers on this sight check it out
