    i have had a sand sifting star also since june. it was in the 6 gallon for 2 months than put into this tank the 35 gallon i dont see it to much its always in the sand. from time to time it pops out climbs the tank walls or rocks. than back to the sand it goes. its grown a little and looks healthy. so i agree with the Dr
    i also have 3 types of snails and not sure if any hermits are left. i think my wrasse is eating some of my clean up crew.

    again thanks for the info ill be looking into it my local fish store is having a sale soon for .25 cent snails and hermits ill be stocking up then

    I just purchased a Sand Sifting Star yesterday at my LFS. He recommends them for keeping the sand clean. Also picked up a Sailfin/Algae Blenny. I have 3 Cucumbers. 2 Tiger Tail and a Atlantic. They are in the tank for over a year and do a nice job. Cool looking too.
