    I use a mixture of oolitic sand and Caribsea Mineral Mud in my fuge.

    Why not both?
    BTW all the mud is, is soaked out clay deposits. Go and get some 100% clay kitty litter, it's the exact same thing without the ridiculous stories or mark-ups. I have 3" of clay kitty litter with 3" of fine sand for my fuge.
