Hi I'm starting a 20Gal nanoreef and I just bought a 30lb of argonite Carib Sea brand sugar sized sand
should I wash it before I put it in?
I'm just starting, the tank is still empty
O and is it enough for a 20 gal?

If your tank is 30" x 12" that will give you about 2" of sand. I would go 4" and that will require about 75 lbs total.

I didn't rinse mine, but you may want to. Just put the sand in a bucket and run water very slowly. Tip the bucket slightly and the dust will skim off the top of the bucket. Drain off the water and put the wet sand in the tank.

Here is a link to calc your sand requirement.:
