I'd watch out with the deal as the shipping does not state overnight just priority.. Thats may take days ? I'd get that nailed down myself or you may just open a stinky dead sand mess.

I just also wanted to add after reading this site a little more I'd not deal with this guy sound fishy to me No Pun intended Either he is a liar or he does not understand what he is selling or saying! But its your money ..

Q: i apologize if this is dumb question, but i'm new to the fish game. can i use this sand in a fresh water tank? thanks Apr-12-08
A: Of course, the only thing is sand looks a little darker under lower wattage bulbs. Another problem is when you need to vacuum your tank, very hard with sand. Even though we would like your business, we recommend small stones for freshwater. Thank you again, End quote

I bought 10lbs to try it out and was very pleased with what I got. I live close to him though, so it came very quick, maybe two days. Its a very fine, beautifully colored sand which looks good spread out over what I already had.

You bought before me didn't you? I got mine about a week ago. He sends it in a garbage bag. I just plopped it in the tank and cut it to let the sand slowly leak out.

    got sand?

I've had mine over a week and aqua didn't you order yours like a day after i did?

Thats weird, it should be there soon i would think, sand is really nice no bad smells and i let mine sit for about 5 days on the floor in front of my tank before i got the live rock, so i think you can safely say it's fresh and healthy. Look at his feedback it really says it all.

I'm just wondering what the pros and cons of using fine sand as apposed to the med grain sand that allot of people use?
