    ya know, they have micro stars that you can buy.. i only know of 2 places that you can get them though.. GARF.org (they come with the Grunge) and ipsf.com... they're pretty expensive if you just buy one thing from them at a time... but once you get a few in your tank, they start reproducing...

    i'm sure if you asked around here some people might have a handful that they'd be willing to give ya!

    Trust me, if the micro stars you are talking about are asterinas, you do not want them...they do reproduce like crazy and become quite a nuisance.

    A sand sifting star does not last long in my tank, which is home to two harlequins. ::)

    But reminds me I need trip to LFS to get one. Saw the shrimp out and about "hunting" yesterday.:-/

    no, they're not asterina... i think the sites call them micro brittle stars...

    yeah i have them.their white teeny brittles ,well i've heard of red ones two.i tried to give some to my friend and they died when i took them from my tank and put them in hers.what worked was we put a mesh bag of ceramic rings and left it in my tank till the stars were all through it and then put it in her tank.

    I really think shrimp are great cleaners and those nassirus snails do a great job on sand..

    Hey scarface, Just reading your sig and its says that you have 22 hermits etc ?? crack the whip mate gettem working for ya !! You only have a 20gal tank!!
