I bought two sleeper gobies today my LFS said that I couldn't have any other sand sifting gobies other than more sleepers, but being that my LFS has only ever given me bad advice, I thought I would ask these questions.1. Does this mean I could add a tiger sleeper goby? 2. Could I add something like a diamond or sand goby?

Unless you have a well established tank with a DSB, I wouldn't. They will be competing for the food source. And rapidly depleting it.

If it counts for anything, the current gobies eat any prepared food that enters the tank.

Keep in mind compatibility also. Depending on the size of your tank they do need their own chunk of the bottom. My Randall's was pretty feisty when it came to other fish in his territory. Given the fact that yours eat prepared foods you are better off to start with. I guess mixing certain species with regards to compatibility, tank size, DSB, and eating prepared or not will have to come with experience. I would have to agree for the most part that they should be the only gobies kept in the tank.

When you say the only gobies do you mean that only sleepers should be in there or only those two sleepers. I've read that sleepers get along, and if thats the case, could I add more of them if they eat prepared food? The tank is 90 gallons and the sand bed is about 5-6 inches deep for half and then slopes down to about 3-4 for the other half. Will they just dig one burrow together, separate burrows, or burrows all over the place?

Will the sand ever settle down so that its not always cloudy after they sift?
