I know there have been several posts on these guys, but ive yet to come to any conclusions on them. I had been toying with one for a while, and my LFS had a nice specimen so i grabbed it, and dropped him in the tank.
I have about a 3" sandbed and am worried about it wiping out the critters in the sand. I have a lot of mini-stars and bristleworms in there. after reading the post about solidifying sandbeds I wanted to make sure the sand was stirred up enough.
does anybody have any new thoughts on these guys?

I'm a fan and had one in my 75 with no issues at all.
I would be worried about one starving in a smaller thank though.

They aren't very hardy as far as Sea Stars are concerned...better with a Brittle or Serpent, IMO. They require a large tank, and a mature tank with alot of food stuff in the substrate!!!!! Their are many other fine additions you could add to your tank to stir up the substrate...
