Got my trigger about 2-3 weeks ago, he is doing great in my reef tank. Doesn't nip at any corals, doesn't really bother fish but is an aggressive eater and scares the crap out of me when i have my hands in the tank. Sometimes i can literally "pet" him and others, well... let's just say im a chickensht and don't want to take the chance.

My question-he has some white spots on his top/bottom fins. Now there is a very small case of ICK in the tank right now but it's only on my juv blue tang and he is fighting it off decently. The spots on the Trigger look nothing like the ICK on the tang. He does sleep in a cave and i thought maybe the marks are "dings and scratches" from the rock when he is sleeping.

Thoughts? i attached a picture of the tang with ICK to show the difference in the spots between the 2 fish.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Look at Lymphocyctosis.

It is conceivable that if your other fish have become symptomatic with Marne Ich, the trigger is just showing active infection to a lessor degree.

and from the little information i can find online, proper conditions are the only "cure" for it, correct?

i currently feed 2ish times a day, light each time. Once is Dr. G's anti-para RX frozen to help battle the Ick and the second feeding is a variation between several frozen/live brine/new life spec food soaked in 3-4 drops kent garlic and an additional multi liquid. Keeping up to date on my 2x a month water changes about 26 out of a system around 140ish gallons. It's a fairly stress free environment in there and always active. Sometimes he is very shy and hides (with hands in tank occasionally, sometimes he wants a snack ) which could cause some stress. Also take care of my corals with various methods.

Anyways, i'm doing what i can for the ICK and it sounds like it's about the same thing i can do to battle the Lymphocyctosis, just proper tank conditions, healthy food and a stress free life? or am i missing something?
