When I got my vehicle a couple of years back, it came with 6 months of satellite, which I've reupped since.

A favorite station of mine is the 70's station. I heard a song that some of you might remember called "The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald" from 1971 by Gordon Lightfoot (If You Could Read My Mind) and others. . .

Anyways, I forgot what a great song it is. Anyone know it?

In fact, Deadliest Catch has an after commercial diddy that is reminiscent of this song.

Just thought I'd share and bring back some memories. Great song. Great lyrics.

I know it well even though my satalite radio spends much more time tuned to the 80's station.

It lives on my Ipod, that includes playlists from the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's and a few modern songs thrown in for good measure.
my car came XM satelite ready, but I just can't convince myself that there is any content on there worth paying a monthly fee to access - instead I plug the Ipod into the Aux jack and have more than a weeks worth of tunes at my fingertips for free

XM for the house and scooter both stay on OCTANE all the time. Every once in a while will have to listen to HAIR NATION. :)

Lightfoot is great. I got a chance to see him play a few years back. It was in a nice theater in cincinnati and their were only about 80 to 100 people in attendance. He played some great tunes including the Edmond Fitzgerald!
