On a new skimmer, adjust it so the bubbles are just rising into the bottom of the center tube of the collection cup. Let it run like that for a few days and see how it's doing....then do fine adjustments from there.

I received my SC65 skimmer on Monday. I got dropped in the tank last night. I checked it periodically throughout the night then again this morning. It seems to be working great. I already have a tank colored skim and have an extremely light load on it.

That looks awesome, but what would u say about this one?
    65 GALLON PROTEIN SKIMMER
SCA-301 skimmer for 65 gallons? i have a 36 gallon tank and i need a pretty good, quiet skimmer for around 100 bucks a little over if necessary.
    could any one help please?

Don't buy from that site buy from the eBay store it's cheaper and better specs there.

This thread is awesome, just ebay searched this skimmer and i found the 65, 150, and an 180. I'm upgrading from a coralife 65g SS, the tank is a 65 with a 20gL sump the protein skimmer chamber is 12x7.5.will it fit?
