I'm glad I found this thread! I will be removing my Aeroforce HOB and getting a sump withing couple of weeks. They have SCA-301 for $80 - I definitely will be getting it.

What is SC stands for? South Cali, South Colorado or South China? :)

Yes I use one, works great.

I think eight to ten inches is about right. I've played with mine a bit in that range, seems to work well.

I have my'n sitting 8" in the water. I used 4" PVC piping underneath my'n to prop, it up.

I had a small issue with my'n a couple days ago. The air line was clogged up with salt creep. After unclogging works like a champ again. Will get another one if my'n breaks.

    adjusting the SCA 320

How do you adjust this skimmer there is a dial on the top but what is that for?
I have the air intake hose running through it right now.

OK, A pic would be nice, but I do have a SC150 currently.

If you have the 150? The blue tube is the flow adjustment, mine have marks and numbers on it. I run it about 2.5.
Mine has a much smaller hole that the iar tube runs up through.

The blue tube, hollow, IS the adjustment! Pull up on it and it will come out of the fitting below, it does come apart.

It's the flow adjustment to raise and lower the water level when the skimmer is on.

There should be a small circle on the tube, and marks/numbers on the upper plate to aid in adjustment.

    Give it a try.
