    Some bubbles maybe, but most of the bubbes should dissipate upward towards the cup anyways.
    What # do you have the blue tube on? Start at about 2&1/2 and go up or down from there to get the water culumn level where you want it.

    Also, make sure your skimmer is seated over the pump good.
    I have the model with the pump under the skimmer body, not inside. I even put some garden hose style rubber faucet washers on the pump male fitting so it would seal even better.
