you should know they need to be spot fed daily. they move around a lot and often get to where you can't see them... making target feeding a real pain.

I think these tend to die pretty quickly in captivity. I never got one bc of this... so I'm only saying what I've read here, no personal experience.

If you can, it's generally safer to ask that question before you buy ;)

They are awesome though. Good luck with it.

Should I turn off all my pumps to spot feed it?

phyto plankton *I think* is what folks feed these... about the current, I don't know.

never tried one before. I don't even know how to tell if feeding is even succeeding or not...

I think these tend to last around 6 months and then become an empty shell...

I owned one and it is exactly like Peredhil says. Hard to keep due to daily feedings.

Ive had mine for 8 months, 3 of those months is was hidden behind the rocks, I finally dug it out and moved it to a diff spot under some rocks where he gets good flow, he has stayed there ever since, I phyto the tank ever couple days and he seems happy, I have the electric flame and its really cool to sit and watch the light show after lights out. Ive never spot fed mine but I have alot of meat eating corals so I have a tendency to feed heavier then most.....
