Ok so today, I was just enjoying my regular Sunday and took a little nap. My fiance comes home and looks at my tank and says, "HONEY, I HAVE SOME BAD NEWS!" I'm like what is it? Your shrimp got decimated. That woke me up as I just started this hobby about 2-3 months ago and have no deaths until now! My first thought was what happened? I looked at the shrimp and he was torn into two pieces? WTF? I actually have 2 scarlet shrimps and he was the first one, but he was smaller than the other one I got and he came in and bullied the smaller one or so I think. That made him kind of depress for the past week as he barely ate, but the bigger one would always jump around and eat everything. The smaller one actually cleaned my fishes more too so I was really dissapointed when I got the news since he would clean both my fishes in the tank more often than the bigger more active, but lazier one that would not do anything but eat. I want to know if anyone has experience on this and what could of happened to my shrimp? I also have a emerald crab in there, the only one I can think of that ripped my shrimp apart. I also have 10 small hermit crabs in there and 5 snails. I saw the smaller shrimp today ducking his head in a rock and I thought something was not right. Well 8 hours late the guys body got ripped in half :(

Here is a pic of the shrimp, I took the head out, but couldnt remove the body since it was so inside the rock. Sorry for the bad quality pic, my camera sucks ;/

The remains of my lovely scarlet shrimp...

P.S. Should I try to remove the body or just let my hermit crabs take care of it? I dont want it to rotten...
