    BRILLIANT Jason, you may have just solved my problem in my frag tank. i am running a 1200 gph return and have cracked to anti-siphon valves(which should not happen) but any way the hole idea seems reasonable. has it been tested?

    I have 3 returns on my tank. All are drilled in this fashion
    I even have drilled a wavy sea

    Unless the holes get clogged they work 100% of the time. Use the smallest bit you can get your hands on then test it.

    pizza...ummm.....then remove check valve, and re-plumb return line to feed de-nitrator....
