As some of you know, I restarted my 150 at the first of the year. I used to have the common Tangs, (Yellow, Blue etc.) I now have a Kole, Orange fin, 4 Damsels, and a P.J. Cardinal. I have never tried schoolers, I.E. Chromis, Anthis, etc. Do you think that they would be mauled by the Damsels and Tangs? Or do schoolers stick together? (Force in numbers). I am just trying some new and different fish this time. Your thoughts?????

What damsels? They could be a problem, they usually are:( but in a 150 you may be OK

They are actually the ones I used to cycle my tank, and have been through all of it!

I have a little blue damsel and he's the mediator in my tank. Seriously! When I added my sixline, my flame hawk tried going after him a couple of times and the damsel started getting in the middle. He also tries to school with my powder brown tang and rabbit fish. (those 2 are the best of pals)

That's funny....has anyone else tried adding a school? I mean about 7-8? This could be an expensive gamble, so any thoughts are well taken!

I have 3 dispar anthias right now. They are great fish and full of character. With this being said, they are a gamble. If you can find some that aren't bashful, you have yourself a winner. If they are bashful they will rarely come out and will starve themselves.

I have reef chromis and they are super active and always out front swimming. They may be a gamble with the damsels but if you get that many, shouldn't be a huge issue I wouldn't think especially with the size of your tank......

Thanks Daniel! What about the current residents? Will they harass the crap out of the school? Or since they are so different, and in numbers, leave them alone, and not pick them off one at a time.
