    I have science fair this year for my school & was trying to come up with a "topic". It will be in mid spring, but I thought I would plan very early...school year starts this week(Wednesday).

    I'd like to do something saltwater related, like corals. But I'm not sure yet. I do not have any corals yet & am still in the process of redoing my tank.

    What do you guys & gals think?

    My son is thinking the same thing. Some ideas we've had were as follows:

    1) Algae growth vs light hours per day.
    2) Algae growth vs DSB depth.
    3) Algae growth vs Nitrate level.

    Something like that.

    Yeah, you don't even have a hydrometer!! (whatta s/a huh?). Dood, how about the awesome biofilter "action" alone in the ocean, S/W tanks, etc. That alone should turn some eyebrows. Just the parameters also are like mind benders....give a full account of the mechanism, etc. Heck, do a nano build with a chronological photoshoot & log of the build & haul the nano to the fair with you?

    Jerkface. :) j/k. I'm working on that.

    I don't know what "s/s tanks are"...

    Head turner ideas are def what I am looking for. :) I figure planning now would help with that.

    Taking a bio-cube to school? That would take some work. Logs, I am good at making. lol. I'm a visual person, what can I say?

    water chemistry - the effects of magnesium on calcium and alk levels and all their relations to good coral growth.

    Good luck and kudos for planning early :jester;
