I have had my scolymia for around 3 weeks now and he is yet to let out his feeding tentacles in order for me to feed him, there he has not eaten since I bought him and now he appears that the meaty part is receding from the skelton. Is there anything I can do to save him? I check at random times throughout the night and morning and he never has his tenctacles out to eat.:-/

Check your Calcium Alkalinity and Magnesium. These corals are very sensitive to low levels. Try dropping some food onto the disc at night when the lights are off this should start a feeding response. Pellets are good for this.Good luck!!8)

All of my water params are in check and when I drop a very small piece of a silver side ontop of the disc my nassiris(sp?) snails attack the silver side and eat it.

Try putting a piece on the opposite side of the tank. Wait until the snails start to feed then add a second piece on the coral.;) You can also try taking the snails out and putting them in a small container until you can get the coral to feed.
